Ultrasound treatment, ultrasound therapy

Ultrasound therapy is a field of physical therapy or electrotherapy and describes a medical procedure for pain relief and support of self-healing processes by means of ultrasound. The frequency range of the ultrasound therapy is between 0.8 and 3 MHz.
For treatment, a transducer is guided evenly over the contact gel-covered, diseased site, which is intended to generate heat and tissue movement in the interior of the body. Here, a distinction between a treatment with continuous sound and a treatment with impulse sound.
