immune stimulation

Immune stimulation is a form of immunomodulation or immunotherapy. Therapeutic measures aimed at activating the immune system.

Substances which trigger an immune stimulation are called immune stimulants.

Immunostimulating z. B. endogenous substances:

Transforming growth factor-ß (TGF-ß)
Colony Stimulating Factors (CSF)
as well as exogenous substances like

active vaccinations
Immune checkpoint inhibitors such as CTLA4, PD-1 and PD-L1 inhibitors, which stimulate the body's immune response against cancer cells through various mechanisms.
